*** Authentic Indian Food *** Rated by a Desi :) Food at Soul of india strikes the perfect balance between spices, flavors and healthy food preparation. After moving to suburban Boston area, we were disappointed by a few local Indian food options and then we stumbled upon ‘Soul of India’. The food is as authentic as it gets, the taste is familiar and reminded us of back home, and this is coming from a hardcore North Indian. Their Makai Shorba is an absolute delish, it is a must try. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan quality and flavorful options. Ambiance is warm and relaxing along with exceptional service. And if /when in doubt, ask the folks at the restaurant and they will definitely give you apt suggestions based on your general preference. We have been to this a few times in the last 2/3 months and we are still exploring their menu. Give this place a try for authentic Indian experience.

We used to come here frequently when we lived a bit closer to the restaurant. We really wanted to go to India Restaurant but didn't feel like driving that far, so decided to try Soul again. We definitely made the right choice! Servers were very attentive and friendly and food was so delicious. We got the fried dahi app, chicken Tikka app, naan basket, Chicken Tikka masala, malai kofta, vindaloo, and a bunch of kulfi. Everything exceeded our expectations!

We stopped in on a Sunday around noon to give the lunch buffet a try. It was delicious! There were several options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Servers were prompt to remove used plates and refill glasses. Lots of families in attendance, but not too crowded and we got seats right away.

We visited here on New Year's Day, because there were so many great reviews and the menu on their website sounded fabulous. And it lived up to those reviews! The service was very kind and polite, especially the older gentleman with the cap who greeted us and checked on us now and then. Another gentleman, younger, who may have been the owner, came by to see how we liked the food as well. Delicious food! Loved the vegetable pakoras and the dipping sauces, fantastic menu, and glad to have a "spice level" to choose from with any dish. Medium is perfect for me - I like it a bit spicy! We really enjoyed the lamb roganjosh and I loved the chicken jalfrezi, which I have never had before. Nice variety of vegetables in the dish as well as good-size chunks of chicken. Prices were very reasonable/on par with what to expect for Indian restaurants in the area. Looking forward to coming back and trying more! :)

it’s a lunch buffet, not a massive spread, but honestly, every single dish was perfect. From the crispy fried cauliflower that somehow still tasted fresh on a buffet line (magic?) to the classic Indian dishes bursting with authentic flavor, it was all delicious. Let’s talk spice - it’s that glorious Indian kind that warms you up without burn you. Having just a few tables adds to the charm - it means your water glass is always full, plates disappear as if by magic, and you get the sense that everything is taken care of. Honestly, the name fits perfectly - this place embodies the soul of Indian cuisine. If you’re west of Boston and want an unforgettable Indian buffet experience, this small spot will make your day.

It's one of my favorite Indian restaurants. Worth the hour drive. The owner and the staff are welcoming and polite. Piping hot food that tastes amazing. Love the fresh lime soda. This is the only restaurant that makes it perfect every single time.

Found this place while we were looking for Indian food around the area and decided to give it a try. Great choice if you’re vegetarian. We tried the broccoli naan, garlic naan, the malai kofta and Shahi paneer. Everything was delicious. Would 110% recommend the broccoli naan. Their rose lassi was a 50/50 - pretty sure it was a lot of Rooh afza that didn’t balance too well. My friend also tried their dal chicken which he really liked. Another chicken curry he ordered wasn’t up to the mark and they felt that the meat wasn’t cooked. Prices seem to be reasonable and service was top notch. I’d certainly recommend Soul of India.
